Macaron 43 Green Tea with Strawberry Buttercream. One of my favorites for sure. The color is beautiful and the taste was perfect! I used artificial strawberry extract and I love its artificial taste! Nothing like a real strawberry but I still love it!

Macaron 37 Chocolate macaron with kumquat juice, Grand Marnier and cream cheese. I know I have been on a chocolate kick for awhile, but I just bought these kumquats and I knew I had to use them. I made a syrup with sugar, kumquat, Grand Marnier and drizzled it over the cream cheese. Kumquats are my new favorite fruit.Tiny, sour and beautiful!

Macaron 33. Ice cream macaron sandwich. So I got an ice cream maker and I am ice cream crazy. I want to make a flavor a day. I figured why not make a macron ice cream sandwich. So here it is. Vanilla with meyer lemon ice cream. So good!

Macaron 32 Birthday Macaron. I had a party last week and made a birthday macarons. What kind? Well, vanilla that was dyed a lovely purple, with a bright teal vanilla buttercream and then the edges were rolled in silver sprinkle. They we wonderful. Marie Antionette would have wanted them at her party!

Macaron 31 Matcha with Vanilla Buttercream. For quite some time I have wanted to bake with matcha powder. My chance finally came. I made two macaron flavors for my birthday. This green tea one was lovely, light green and filled with a beautiful teal vanilla buttercream. So nice.

Macaron 30 Coffee with Brown Butter Buttercream. Usually when I make my macarons, I eat one give the rest away. Not with this batch. They are too good Seriously, I am going to give myself some sort of sugar shock, possibly. A favorite for sure. The coffee flavor is strong but sweet and the buttercream is enough to make my head explode. Too Good!!!!

Macaron 29 Lemon with raspberry cream cheese buttercream. So finally my time has come on Food 52. Contest of the week is almond macarons! I have been waiting a really long time for this. And another thing, I was told this week that my macarons taste like the real French ones. The best compliment I could ever be given. So this is the macaron I am going to submit!

Macaron 26 Lime with Strawberry Buttercream

Week 26 March 1
Macaron 26 Lime with Strawberry Buttercream. This macaron was rather summerish but it sounded so good. I put about 2 teaspoons of lime zest in the batter and I was amazed how much lime taste came through. I also had some strawberry jam that I made to I mixed it in the buttercream. This was a tasty combination and I love the pink and green color.

Macaron 25 Blackberry with Meyer Lemon and Blackberry Buttecream. I love the color of these so much. It's a little hard to tell but it's a really nice light blue, almost gray. I left the seeds in the macarons too. I love when raspberries and blackberries are not strained. I also love the idea of a tart blackberry balanced with a sweet meyer lemon. Plus the color contrast of a meyer with a blackberry is beautiful.

Macaron 24 Chocolate with white chocolate and toasted coconut buttercream. Sometimes in the night I will wake up and think about something I want to make or a new recipe to try out. Last night I woke up thinking about turquoise macarons. Usually when I make chocolate macarons I use cocoa powder, but today I used chocolate extract and dyed them this beautiful turquoise color. The coconut was a perfect fit, crunchy and looks so pretty with it.

Macaron 22 Chai with Caramel Cream and Mascarpone. I tried a new recipe today and the outcome was incredible. Renewed love and interest in them. I love to drink chai but eating chai is almost as good. They were perfect. I made a sweetened condensed milk caramel. This is condensed milk taken to entire new level. Sublime and then for a nice added touch, mascarpone. Nice and milk. These were perfect.

My favorite fruit( well, one of them,) Now the pink on pink did not work, I grabbed the wrong dye color. But they were quite tasty.

I was in a Caribbean mood. Probably because I want a Caribbean vacation. I am cooking vicariously through my vacation dreams. I just adore the color of this one too. A perfect shade of yellow, which has slowly made its way in my heart as my favorite color. How did this happen?

I love this honey from Savannah Bee it smells strongly of orange blossom but the taste in mild. Delicious and perfect for a January spring day.

Macaron 18 Red Velvet Macaron with Cream Cheese Buttercream. Winter tastes like Red Velvet. It's dense and rich and the cream cheese brings it together. The red velvet macaron is wonderful just as good the cake. I think its the perfect substitute.
