One of my favorites for sure. The color is beautiful and the taste was perfect! I used artificial strawberry extract and I love its artificial taste! I know I have been on a chocolate kick for awhile,  but I just bought &lt;span id="SPELLING_ERROR_3" class="blsp-spelling-corrected"&gt;these&lt;/span&gt; kumquats and I knew I &lt;span id="SPELLING_ERROR_4" class="blsp-spelling-corrected"&gt;had&lt;/span&gt; to use them. I made a syrup with sugar, kumquat, Grand &lt;span id="SPELLING_ERROR_5" class="blsp-spelling-error"&gt;Marnier&lt;/span&gt; and drizzled it over the cream cheese. This macaron was rather summerish but it sounded so good. I put about 2 teaspoons of lime zest in the batter and I was amazed how much lime taste came through. I also had some strawberry jam that I made to I mixed it in the buttercream. I love the color of these so much. It's a little hard to tell but it's a really nice light blue, almost gray. I left the seeds in the macarons too. I love when raspberries and blackberries are not strained. I also love the idea of a tart blackberry balanced with a sweet meyer lemon. Sometimes in the night I will wake up and think about something I want to make or a new recipe to try out. Last night I woke up thinking about turquoise macarons. Usually when I make chocolate macarons I use cocoa powder, but today I used chocolate extract and dyed them this beautiful turquoise color. I tried a new recipe today and the outcome was incredible. Renewed love and interest in them. I love to drink chai but eating chai is almost as good. They were perfect. I made a sweetened condensed milk caramel. This is condensed milk taken to entire new level. Sublime and then for a nice added touch, mascarpone. Nice and milk. I realize after making this &lt;span id="SPELLING_ERROR_2" class="blsp-spelling-error"&gt;macaron&lt;/span&gt; this one makes three weeks of vanilla. Last week, promise. Next week something new. I was in a &lt;span id="SPELLING_ERROR_3" class="blsp-spelling-corrected"&gt;Caribbean&lt;/span&gt; mood. Probably &lt;span id="SPELLING_ERROR_4" class="blsp-spelling-corrected"&gt;because&lt;/span&gt; I want a &lt;span id="SPELLING_ERROR_5" class="blsp-spelling-corrected"&gt;Caribbean&lt;/span&gt; vacation. I am cooking vicariously through my vacation dreams. I just adore the color of this one too. A perfect shade of yellow, which has slowly made its way in my heart as my favorite color. This is what love tastes like. Grey and yellow is one of my favorite color combinations. Since they are no rules for &lt;span id="SPELLING_ERROR_2" class="blsp-spelling-error"&gt;macarons&lt;/span&gt; I created this color and taste combination. Early Grey is my favorite tea and and I &lt;span id="SPELLING_ERROR_3" class="blsp-spelling-error"&gt;adore&lt;/span&gt; anything and everything lemon and grapefruit.  By far one of my most favorite creations so far. I made the lemon curd from scratch and that was divine. Even warm, I sort of wanted to eat it like soup. I added some &lt;span id="SPELLING_ERROR_4" class="blsp-spelling-error"&gt;mascarpone&lt;/span&gt; which &lt;span id="SPELLING_ERROR_5" class="blsp-spelling-error"&gt;separted&lt;/span&gt; a little from the lemon. Dairy and lemon never mix well for me but, the filling was perfect, lemony &lt;span id="SPELLING_ERROR_6" class="blsp-spelling-error"&gt;mascarpone&lt;/span&gt;. This &lt;span id="SPELLING_ERROR_2" class="blsp-spelling-error"&gt;macaron&lt;/span&gt; is a little different. I purchased quince paste a while ago in a small Jerusalem grocery store and was just waiting to use it.The quince paste was sweet not tart and the color is beautiful. Well I have finally perfected the &lt;span id="SPELLING_ERROR_2" class="blsp-spelling-error"&gt;macaron&lt;/span&gt;. This is it. I could stop the blog that ,is how good this batch were. I have reached perfection and the &lt;span id="SPELLING_ERROR_3" class="blsp-spelling-corrected"&gt;giddiness&lt;/span&gt; that took over me was too much. I could not contain myself. Perfect. Good shiny tops, good feet, and no hollow middles. Perfect &lt;span id="SPELLING_ERROR_4" class="blsp-spelling-corrected"&gt;chewiness&lt;/span&gt;. I am in love. The rose water &lt;span id="SPELLING_ERROR_5" class="blsp-spelling-error"&gt;buttercream&lt;/span&gt; was a bit of heaven too. I used a new &lt;span id="SPELLING_ERROR_6" class="blsp-spelling-error"&gt;buttercream&lt;/span&gt; recipe and it was so smooth and just a small hint of rose lingered. I have been in such a chocolate mood this week, I felt that it was time for the chocolate macaron to make an appearance. Yesterday I had brunch at this restaurant and the waffle of the day was a plain waffle with spiced apples and peanut butter whipped cream. Yum. I have had my mind on peanut butter ever since. A nice burst of color, I love the pink and green contrast. They are the perfect &lt;span id="SPELLING_ERROR_3" class="blsp-spelling-error"&gt;girly&lt;/span&gt; &lt;span id="SPELLING_ERROR_4" class="blsp-spelling-error"&gt;macaron&lt;/span&gt;, but then again they all are? I used yet another recipe and I think I am happy with how they turned out. I did not have my piping bag so I &lt;span id="SPELLING_ERROR_5" class="blsp-spelling-error"&gt;hade&lt;/span&gt; to use a &lt;span id="SPELLING_ERROR_6" class="blsp-spelling-error"&gt;ziploc&lt;/span&gt; which did not do a great job. Inspired by the &lt;span id="SPELLING_ERROR_4" class="blsp-spelling-error"&gt;Vosges&lt;/span&gt; Bacon Chocolate Bar. It was delicious, like breakfast when the bacon touches your waffle. So I tried a new recipe this week and I am not going to lie, it did not turn out as well as I would have like. I felt like I was a complete failure, then I realized it is only week 7 and I still have 45 weeks left to perfect. What a relief. Now, the inside of the &lt;span id="SPELLING_ERROR_2" class="blsp-spelling-error"&gt;macarons&lt;/span&gt; turned out great. Crunchy and chewy,but I never got any feet. I dusted them with a little cinnamon  and over all the taste was good, appearance not so great. Last week I delivered an order of chocolate macarons to Little Black Dress on Cherry Street. I chatted with the ever so delightful owner Kelly for a little and left inspired to make a signature macron for the store. What I came up with this, a chocolate macaron with sea salt sprinkled on top, and for the filling caramel buttercream with caramel drizzled inside and on top. A messy, but oh so delightful macaron. The salt was delicious and actually paired nicely with the chocolate and caramel. Soon to be classic I am sure. Other exciting news is that I am starting an Etsy page just for my macarons. So I wanted to make a purple &lt;span id="SPELLING_ERROR_3" class="blsp-spelling-error"&gt;macaron&lt;/span&gt;, purple is so pretty in cookie form and I had some black currant puree and I love the &lt;span id="SPELLING_ERROR_4" class="blsp-spelling-error"&gt;macarons&lt;/span&gt; that have matching filling so I went for it. These were wonderful, the vanilla was subtle and the &lt;span id="SPELLING_ERROR_5" class="blsp-spelling-error"&gt;buttercream&lt;/span&gt; was sweet with a light taste of black currant. I think &lt;span id="SPELLING_ERROR_6" class="blsp-spelling-corrected"&gt;these&lt;/span&gt; are some of the prettiest so far. I am tired of chocolate and brown colored &lt;span id="SPELLING_ERROR_2" class="blsp-spelling-error"&gt;macarons&lt;/span&gt;. I need some color, so I made these beautiful orange colored and flavored one. I ground the almond flour to an &lt;span id="SPELLING_ERROR_3" class="blsp-spelling-corrected"&gt;espresso&lt;/span&gt; fine powdered and then sifted it. Now the flour is like angel dust. This developed nice feet but it seems that maybe the orange extract made them hollow inside. This batch was really, really fragile. I used a different recipe, that I will not be trying again. The &lt;span id="SPELLING_ERROR_4" class="blsp-spelling-error"&gt;ganache&lt;/span&gt; is really good. I have been just eating that alone. I used instant espresso powder and for the &lt;span id="SPELLING_ERROR_1" class="blsp-spelling-error"&gt;&lt;span id="SPELLING_ERROR_1" class="blsp-spelling-error"&gt;buttercream&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt; a little coffee extract from &lt;span id="SPELLING_ERROR_2" class="blsp-spelling-error"&gt;&lt;span id="SPELLING_ERROR_2" class="blsp-spelling-error"&gt;Nielson&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt; Massey. Good not bitter. A nice spicy cinnamon macaron with the most delicious pumpkin cream. The cream is laced with cloves and there is a little cream cheese mixed in.
